Our Music Department begins in our Elementary schools by providing meaningful musical experiences at a young age. In elementary, students study composers, listen to may different pieces of music, and begin playing the recorder to help teach them music literacy, melody, rhythm, improvisation, and teamwork.
These are all skills that students will use to become knowledgeable musical individuals in our intermediate, middle, junior and high schools.

Once your students reach our upper grade levels they begin music history as well as music's relationship to other disciplines and musical careers. This is also when they can choose to participate in the schools' band and/or choir programs. In High School, AP Music Theory is offered for students planning to major or minor in music in college as well as Music Technology; a hands-on course that exposes students to technology-enhanced music creation using software applications while exploring the real world applications of music technology.
