Brooklynn Novak

Brooklynn Novak, a 2nd-grade student at Crawford Elementary School, was recognized at the RSD School Board meeting for being an Inclusive Collaborator.

Brooklynn is well-known among her peers for her enthusiasm, energy, and compassionate nature. She goes above and beyond to make sure that every student feels included and valued. Whether in the classroom, on the playground, or during group activities, she takes the time to actively involve others, encourages teamwork, and creates a supportive, welcoming atmosphere for everyone around her. Her positive attitude and genuine willingness to help others have a significant impact, helping to create a true sense of belonging within her school community.

When talking about what being inclusive means to her, Brooklynn shared “It’s treating people like a family. I don’t want people to feel left out. I want to be their friend.” Her words truly reflect the kindness and empathy that drive her actions each day.

This recognition comes from the Profile of the RSD Graduate—a framework that defines the essential skills and qualities students develop by the time they graduate.
