Last summer,  the Russellville Chamber of Commerce decided to create the “Inspire River Valley” mentorship program, which was launched in January at three pilot schools: Russellville Junior High School, Danville High School, and Hector High School.

"For the pilot program, there are twelve local companies with volunteer mentors who are available to talk to students virtually or in-person about different career fields," explains Suzy Griffin,  Workforce Development Director, Russellville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Mrs. Riley says, “We are working on setting up a session in which we will have small groups with professional individuals from the careers that  students are interested in, job shadowing projects, and facility tours.”
