Due to current weather reports and an ice storm warning issued by the National Weather Service, RSD has made the decision to close all schools tomorrow, January 22, 2024, in order to ensure the safety of all students and families.
Make Up day information will be announced at a later time.

All athletic events for January 18, 2024 have been canceled or postponed.
RMS Basketball game for 1/18 - canceled
RJHS Basketball game for 1/18 - postponed to 1/31 at RJHS

RSD has driven bus routes and road conditions are still undesirable for RSD buses to safely transport students.

This is a reminder Monday, January 15, all RSD schools will be closed in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
With the forecasted winter weather, RSD will be continuously monitoring the forecasts and road conditions for the rest of the week.

📣 Inclement Weather Information
The winter season is upon us! Through the season, the District will be actively watching forecasts for any weather that may impact travel and road conditions. The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority when making these decisions.
📌 Parents will be notified of any school closures, early dismissals, or delays via text, phone, the Russellville School District website, and social media. Please make sure your contact information is up to date with your child’s school office.
Make Up Days:
Beginning this school year, Arkansas school districts can no longer use Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Days.
Any school closures, including inclement weather, will be made up through designated make up days.
