Summer Meal Distributions began on June 2nd, 2024, and will carry on throughout the summer. Pick-up will be at the Russellville Junior High School on Sundays: 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and Mondays: 6:30 - 8:00 a.m.

🏆 The Russellville High School Cyclones Quiz Bowl team received a Congressional Record from Congressman Bruce Westerman in recognition of winning their 1st National Championship and their 8x State Championship streak!

Summer Office Hours | July 2024
All District offices operating during summer will be open 7:00 a.m. - 4:50 p.m. Operating offices will be open 4 days a week.
The schedule is as follows:
Week of July 1-5: Open Monday - Wednesday; Closed July 4th - 5th in observance of the 4th of July.
Week of July 8-12: Closed Monday July 8th; Open Tuesday - Friday.
All operating offices will operate under normal hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m) beginning the week of July 15th.

Cyclones Quiz Bowl Teams win First Ever National Championship!🏆
🥇 The RHS Quiz Bowl Team won its first ever national title winning the National Academic Championship tournament on Sunday afternoon. The Cyclones went 6-0 at their regional tournament in New Orleans in May to qualify and defeated teams from Corpus Christi, Little Rock Central, an international team from Dubai, and Parkland High School (from Pennsylvania) in the elimination rounds to earn the overall title. Championship team members include Will Stump, Keegan Fuller, Ian Warnick, Matthew Fox, Gidian Fuller, and Alyx Dunaway.
🎉 In addition to the championship, RHS had another very impressive showing by having another varsity team reach the quarterfinals . This team featured Hayden Daniel, Claryn Nupp, Crawford Rash, Sarah Shoptaw, Zion McArthur, Avery Feemster and Noah Wooten.

RMS Spirit Squad Camp 📣🌪️
♥️ The RMS Spirit Squad just finished up an amazing summer camp! They spent several days bonding through activities like Secret Sis, learning chants and band dances, and worked hard on technique and skills!

👏 RHS Soccer Coach Jared Fuller for being named the Arkansas All Preps Coach of the Year!
👏 Cyclones Baseball Coach Will McCrotty for being named the Arkansas 5A West Baseball Coach of the Year!
👏 RSD Technology Department members Jeff Mumert, Jacob Weaver, and Greg Condley, for achieving the CompTIA Certified IT Operations Specialist (CIOS) certification. Jacob Weaver also achieved the CompTIA Certified Security Infrastructure Specialist (CSIS) certification!

📓 RSD hosted education professionals from around the state earlier this month for professional learning once again!
💡The attendees were from all over the state and varied from principals, teachers, Co-Op directors, and superintendents. Attendees observed classroom teacher collaboration during Smart Start Mondays and learned more about RSD’s collaboration efforts.
