Our CVE Choir and Sewing club took a field trip into the community this week to spread Christmas cheer. First the choir, under the direction of Monica Hutchison, performed beautiful songs for the RSD Central Office staff, then for residents at the Brookdale assisted living facility. Finally, the students visited the Russellville Animal Shelter, where 15 blankets and 10 animal beds made by the Sewing Club were donated for the animals housed there. The Sewing Club meets daily to work on projects, and is directed by art teacher Chelsey Cravens.
