
Our music teacher, Mrs. Taylor, is preparing for the upcoming fourth grade Veteran's Day-themed musical. If you have any veteran's in your family, please send their names to the office so they can be used in the program. Thank you!


It's "Socktober" and we are 70 pairs of socks away from our goal this year! We are working to help support Joseph’s House, which is an organization that helps foster children and families.
So please donate new pairs of socks to Dwight Elementary!

We will recognize students with October birthdays during lunch on Friday, October 26. If you have a child with an October birthday, you are welcome to come celebrate during lunch.


Our first quarter Awards Assemblies will be held in the cafeteria on October 25 at the following times:
1st-2nd: 8:30 a.m.
Kindergarten: 9:30 a.m.
3rd-4th: 1:30 p.m.


Just a reminder: The last chance to shop at our Book Fair will be during Parent/Teacher Conferences on Monday, October 22 from 1:00-7:00!


Kindergarten students are enjoying their field trip to Petit Jean State Park!


Ribbon Ribbon week is next week! Students have been learning about the importance of putting good things into their bodies. We will be dressing up on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.


These brave Dwight students are showing that getting a flu shot is no big deal!





Our Book Fair is open! Students can shop during lunch recess as well as during their library class time! The fair will also be open on Monday, October 22 from 1:00-7:00 during parent/teacher conferences. The last day of the fair will be Wednesday, October 24. We will pack it up after lunch recess that day! We hope to see you there!


Reminder: Our Junior Firefighter Challenge will take place on Thursday, October 18 from 10:30-12:30! We hope you can come cheer on our Dwight third and fourth grade students!


Second grade had a wonderful time on their field trip to the pumpkin patch today!


Kindergarten students had a fun time using pumpkins to learn about the five senses!


Our annual Flu Clinic will be on the afternoon of October 17th. Students will bring flu packets home today. Parents must complete and sign both consent forms attached at the end of the packet in order for their child to receive their vaccination.


The annual Pork Fest is coming up! This is one of Dwight's biggest fundraisers and we need your help to make it a successful event! You can sign up to work during Pork Fest or help by selling meat and sandwiches! Thank you for your support!


Students in Mrs. Pruitt's class collected used markers as part of Crayola's ColorCycle program. Through this Crayola initiative, markers are collected and re-purposed in order to help our environment!

After attending the Charlie Brown Musical this morning, Dwight students enjoyed a picnic lunch on the playground!

Our Dwight Bicycle Rodeo is coming up on Thursday, October 4. We need as many volunteers as possible to make this a successful event! Please contact the office or send in the form from Mrs. Cude to sign up to help on this day! We appreciate everything you do!
