Introduction to Coding students worked coding their Cutebots this week. Students coded them to drive in a figure 8 and have a blinker going while turning.
The chosen student picked for Officer Harris’ Backup at the Russellville Middle School for the month of October is Axel. Axel strives to do his best, be a good leader for his peers, and tries to brighten everyone’s day.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the RMS Spirit Squad is using GOLD poms and GOLD bows to show their support for kids and families fighting childhood cancer. We encourage everyone to GO GOLD for September to raise awareness and funding for childhood cancer research. If you want to know more about what you can do to help, you can ask Morgan Schwehm, a member of the RMS Spirit Squad and a childhood cancer survivor.

Mr. Daily’s 6th grade science classes investigated the effects of temperature on particle motion. Students used food dye in three different temperatures of water to observe the motion of particles over time.

RMS students were able to attend the Buckets N Boards Comedy Percussion Show yesterday. Buckets N Boards is a hilarious, high-energy interactive show that instills an understand that rhythm can be expressed in many different ways. We love seeing the real-world examples of our learning!

These amazing 6th graders worked together in their ELA class on a morphology sort! They showed fantastic teamwork and determination to make sure their group succeeded!
Last week, the 7th Grade History Department had guest speaker Dr. Angela Adams from UCA come and speak to their students about National History Day. National History Day is a competition where students present research on a theme. This year's theme is "Turning Points in History."
Attention RMS families, we are having an interest meeting for Quiz Bowl on Thursday from 3:15 PM - 3:45 PM in the library. This will be for 6th and 7th grade students.
