When the students are away, the RMS teachers will play!
In addition to meeting in our collaborative teams, talking about data, and learning how we can best help our students, we enjoyed some tasty Halloween treats, had a chili cook off, and had a costume contest! We missed the students, but we sure had fun!

Congrats to the November Student of the Month, Jacoby Putnam, and November Employee of the Month, Kylie Gallegos!
Mrs. Gallegos was nominated by several of her students. These are some of the things they said:
“I would nominate Mrs. G (Gallegos) for teacher of the month because she always puts a smile on her face. She has a very clean room, and also she lets us build puzzles once we finish our test, and also she is the best teacher in this school. Mrs. G is the best teacher in the world, and she is so nice and positive.”
Jacoby was nominated by Mrs. Tripp. This is what she said:
"I would like to nominate Jacoby Putnam for student of the month. Jacoby is always willing to help others. He is kind and respectful in my classroom and works hard in his studies. I love his smile and his sense of humor. It is fun to be Jacoby's teacher!"

We value our community collaborators.
Our career awareness classes are inviting local representatives to come and visit with our students on career opportunities in the River Valley. Last week representatives from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and the U.S. Forest Service met with students to talk about their opportunities and what skills their occupations require.

It's pumpkin decoration time at RMS! Show us your talent and imagination!
Mrs. Gallegos challenged her classes to come up with a thoughtful project for the month of October. Her classes decided that they wanted to "Boo" a few classes with treats and kind words.
They surprised Mr. Sinor's and Mr. Forehand's classes with "Boo" baskets, goodies, and notes. The students then came back and wrote about how doing thoughtful acts of kindness made them feel.
Learning is action and at RMS and our team of teachers look for ways of applying academics to real-life applications for a more personalized learning experience.
We care at RMS!
