School will be dismissed Monday 10/22 and Tuesday 10/23. Elementary conferences will the held from 1-7 on Monday 10/22.
Please return the pink parent-teacher conference time request form to your child’s teacher as soon as possible.
Just a Reminder...The Pope County Health Unit will once again provide flu vaccines to RSD students. The flu vaccine clinic for Oakland Heights students will be on Monday, October 15th. The consent form and FERPA form (previously sent home) must be returned to school in order to receive the vaccine.

Meet the Teacher/Open House 4:00-6:00
Please bring your child and come and meet his/her teacher. Drop off school supplies and let the teacher know your child's method of transportation home. The Boys and Girls Club after school program will begin on 8/13. All students who plan to attend the B&GC must register or update their registration at the B&GC prior to 8/13. Students must be 6 to attend the program. Stop by the B&GC table at Meet the Teacher to let us know if your child will be attending. Transportation tables will be set up to answer questions. Please stop by the office if you have had a change in address or contact information.

Oakland Heights Office will be open through June 8th from 8:00-3:30. The office will re-open Wednesday, July 25th from 8:30-3:30.

RSD will dismiss two hours early on Thursday, May 17 for the Employee Recognition Ceremony. The last day of the school year is Tuesday, May 29, and the district will dismiss one hour early.

Our Book Character Parade will be Thursday, May 17th at 9:00. Please look for a letter detailing the information this week. Students must turn in a permission slip in order to walk in the parade through the halls.
Attention parents of 3rd and 4th graders: Next week, students in grades 3-4 will be taking the ACT Aspire tests in the morning Monday-Friday. Please make sure that your child arrives on time each day.
