This week is Read Across America Week!
The goal of this week is to encourage reading and educate people about its benefits. Teachers are spending this week highlighting reading in their classrooms and showing their love of reading by participating in this week's dress-up days.
Students in Mrs. Green's class read and compared three different scientific texts on ecosystems. To make this a little more fun, she made her class into a real-life escape room! Students had to solve clues to retrieve the three different texts from around the room, but look out; the FLOOR IS LAVA!
6th grade science students learned about the Coriolis Effect. This effect explains why wind and water appear to not travel in straight lines due to the rotation of the Earth.
Students were then challenged to draw a straight line while Mr. Daily spun a paper around (acting like the Earth’s rotation). All students could not draw a straight line—demonstrating the Coriolis Effect.
Happy National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day Mr. Gibson and Mr. Davis! RMS is so grateful to have amazing bus drivers in our building to get our students where they need to go safely. We are #galePROUD

This is what co-workers have said about her:
"Mrs. Babb is a positive role model to have in our school and we're so lucky to have gained knowledge from her. Mrs. Babb cares for her students deeply, and I just know she has so many students that appreciate her, like so many of us do."
We are proud to call Mrs. Babb a Gale!
